"Ich hatte schon immer die Neugier, neue Orte zu entdecken und Menschen aus der ganzen Welt zu treffen. In England hatte ich die Gelegenheit, interessante Menschen mit verschiedenen kulturellen und ethnischen Hintergründen zu treffen und zu studieren. Fotografie war schon immer eine Leidenschaft von mir, insbesondere in Verbindung mit Journalismus." Mittlerweile ist die Senkrechtstarterin mit zahlreichen Auszeichnungen für ihre Bildsprache bedacht worden und arbeitet als freie Fotografin für den Guardian.
